Whole Body Vibration for the Pelvic Floor Muscle Training: Preliminary Trial
نویسنده
چکیده
Hypothesis / aims of study Studies report that whole-body vibration (WBV) recruits about 95-97% of the muscle fibers, due to the oscillations generated by the vibrating platform, which can enable both surface and deep muscles. Lauper (2009) reports that the active vibration the muscles of the pelvic floor (PFM) which may improve your reflex stimulation and synergistic [1,2]. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of whole body vibration on the activity electromyographic of PFM.

Bioelectrical activity of the pelvic floor muscles during synchronous whole-body vibration--a randomized controlled study.
BACKGROUND More and more frequently stress urinary incontinence affects young healthy women. Hence, early implementation of effective preventive strategies in nulliparous continent women is essential, including pelvic floor muscle training. An initial evaluation based on the bioelectrical activity of the pelvic floor muscles (PFM) during whole-body vibration (WBV) would help to devise the best ...

OBJECTIVE To determine whether Whole Body Vibration Training (WBVT) is effective at improving pelvic floor muscles strength in women with Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI). MATERIALS AND METHODS The study was designed as a randomized clinical trial. 43 women with SUI were randomly assigned in two groups; WBVT and Pelvic Floor Muscle Training (PFMT) and received interventions for four weeks. P...

Background and Aims: Whole body vibration exercise by affecting the neuromuscular system and mechanical mechanisms increase muscles strength. This study investigated the effect of whole body vibration training on neuromuscular function of elderly men. Methods: Based on a randomized controlled trial design, 72 retired elderly men with a mean age of 73.00 ± 2.67 years participated in thisstudy. A...

BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to investigate the electromyogram (EMG) response of pelvic floor muscle (PFM) to whole-body vibration (WBV) while using different body posture and vibration frequencies. MATERIAL AND METHODS Thirteen healthy adults (7 men, 6 women) voluntarily participated in this cross-sectional study in which EMG data from PFM were collected in a total of 12 trials for eac...
متن کاملPelvic floor stimulation: what are the good vibrations?
OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to determine if two different whole body vibration, sinusoidal vibration (SV) and stochastic resonance vibration (SRV), using various intensities lead to a reactive activation of pelvic floor muscles. STUDY DESIGN We compared the pelvic floor muscle response of a healthy control group with that of a post partum group with weakened pelvic floor contraction. ...
